Well I've been super busy with my new daughter (Isabella) the last few weeks so have not had a great deal of time to post.
to be honest I did not have all that much more to add to the product data specs. Until now that is.
Google recently announced that they were making changes to their policy and search feed specifications. This has quite a few ramifications to anyone using the google base product feed facility.
As a promotional products supplier we have in the past gone through many many hoops and jumped many many hurdles to keep our products on google base.







I've been trying to put together the definitive spreadsheet for setting up product data. Please bare in mind this is a work in progress. I welcome any comments about alterations and missing fields or incorrect calculations.
This will be a fairly short article, Most of the data I receive usually has the lead time shown in one column. This is ok for display purposes, and can be easily imported into a standard alphanumeric data field, however...
And so we come to pricing! Setting up your pricing correctly can make or break the quality level of your product data. If I get product data that does not have delivery costs on it, then I won't use it. Most distributors don't put delivery and origination charges on their websites.
Images can be a bone of contention! So many different suppliers, so many different products and so many different ways they all provide images of their products.
